Graffiti as one of the Four Elements

From the internet:
"Hip hop, a cultural movement which began among African Americans in New York City in the 1970s and has since spread around the world, consists of four main elements: rapping (emceeing) and DJing - the two musical elements; and breakdancing and graffiti art - the two performance/visual elements. The term rap is sometimes used synonymously with hip hop music, though it is also used to refer specifically to the practice of rapping, which is just one component of hip hop music."

How do these relate to the four traditional Western/Greek elements of earth, fire, air, water? I would tend to associate graffiti art with the "earth" element, as it is the most permanent, stable, concrete, of the four hip-hop elements - the one that has the potential to leave the most permanent physical mark. Fire, air, and water are all more mutable, just as rapping, DJing and breakdancing are all more mutable, ephemeral, time-based works of art.

Anyone care to discuss?
